The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and sinister influences growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the actions of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which players will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
